The Marom Fellowship

The Marom Fellowship is an opportunity for the most talented college graduates to make a profound difference on the future of American Jews.

A teacher stands at a chalkboard facing his students

Each year, Marom will admit a small cohort of exceptional college graduates, 25 and under, for a three-year fellowship that prepares them to teach in the best Jewish schools in America.

We invest in our Fellows the way elite graduate programs invest in their most promising doctoral students, because we believe the people who teach Jewish children deserve nothing less.

  1. A speaker addresses students in a sanctuary hung with flags

    Year one:

    Miami

Fellows spend a full year in intensive, in-person study at Marom's campus in Miami. They read the great works of Jewish, Western, and American civilization with nationally recognized scholars. They also learn the craft of teaching in the classrooms of our partner schools. Tuition is fully covered, and Fellows receive a stipend of up to $70,000.

  2. A student raises her hand during a seminar

    Years 2 & 3:

    The Classroom

Fellows teach full time at leading Jewish day schools, in South Florida or at partner schools across the country, while completing their degree. Each Fellow works closely with a Marom master teacher and receives a fellowship bonus in each teaching year.

  3. Educators talk in a museum gallery hung with paintings

    Completion:

    The Degree

Fellows earn a Master of Arts in [the History of Ideas] from [University].

Who Should Apply

The Fellowship is open to recent college graduates, 25 and under, with strong academic records, real intellectual curiosity, and a serious interest in Jewish life. No teaching experience is required. Admission is highly selective.
